About our Kiln Dried Logs
NFP forestry supply kiln dried logs and kindling wood from our farm in Horsham. All our timber is sustainably sourced from managed coppiced woodland around Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
The kiln drying process takes four days from start to finish and ensures all timber is dried to maximum moisture content of 20%.This ensures a really good clean burning log which is ideal for wood burners and actually increases the burn time.

What type of fire wood do you supply?
We supply Ash (the King of Firewood) which is generally considered the best log type for wood burners and stoves due to its steady flame and heat production.
What's the difference between seasoned and kiln dried wood?
Seasoned logs have been carefully stacked and allowed to dry naturally which can take 6-18 months.
Kiln drying wood allows the process to be sped up (4 days) and the moisture controlled and measured to ensure it's less than the stove manufacturers recommended 20% so the wood burns and your stove doesnt blacken.
